    • On December 27, 2015 after a brief illness our Dad passed away. He was born in Church Point on September 23, 1925.

He owned and operated an independent insurance agency for 55 years. He retired and sold the business in 2010. In his younger years he joined the U. S. Coast Guard, served in World War II on the USS Bayfield in the invasion of Normandy. After the invasion, he sailed back to England, Africa and on to Naples, Italy. After a short visit home, he took part in the battle of Iwo Jima and later Okinawa.

He was proud of the years he served his country and shared many stories throughout the years. He lived in Church Point most of his life and was the son, of Louis and May Beaugh, the brother to Ruby Segar, Bea Beaugh, Cecile Camel, and Mildred Bellard who are all deceased, and two older brothers, Roy Beaugh who resides in Baton Rouge, Harold Beaugh of Church point and many nieces and nephews.

Our Dad was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Left to mourn are his two daughters, Rhonda Beaugh and Tina Beaugh both of Lafayette; grandchildren, Olivia Daigle (Kurt Duplechin) of Scott, Abby Murphy (Jeremy) of Richard, and Kristina Lavergne (Cory) of Scott; and great grandchildren, Kaleb and Kyle Daigle, Emma and Wyatt Murphy, Karly and Mackenzie Lavergne. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Deanie Harmon and one son, Paul Lynn "Bubba" Beaugh.

Pallbearers will be Kaleb and Kyle Daigle, Jeremy Murphy, Cory Lavergne, Kurt Duplechin and Richie Beaugh.

We would like to thank all of his Nurses and CNAs, but especially Dana and Heather of the Veteran's Administration in Jennings, for their dedication and wonderful care they gave him in his last days.

Personal condolences may be sent to the Beaugh family at www.delhommefuneralhome.com.
