- Funeral services for Mr. Leo Tate Jr., 94, will be held 12:30 PM Monday March 16, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in the Evangeline Memorial Cemetery. Fr. Brian Harrington will officiate.
Mr. Tate a resident of Ville Platte passed away Friday March 13, 2015 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home.
He will be missed by his wife Joyce Fontenot Tate of Ville Platte; son Gary Tate and wife Annette of Ville Platte; brother Wallace Tate and wife Bea of Ville Platte; sister Winnifred Nicks of Texas; 3 grandchildren Paulette Richard of Broussard, Jason Tate and wife Kelly of Ville Platte, Leah Tate of Baton Rouge; 5 great grandchildren Zachery Richard, Jonas Richard, Nicholas Tate, Grace Tate, Chloe Tate. Preceded in death by his parents William Leo Tate Sr. and Oline Guillory Tate, grandson Jacob Boyd Tate; great grandson Silas Jacob Tate.
Visitation will be held Monday March 16, 2015 from 8am until the time of services, with a rosary being recited at 11:30 AM.
